Some specific predictions -- for future references

Let us see how many of these specific predictions come true

'Instability awaits South Asia' - Narayan Swamy
This is what Bangalore-based astrologer Narayan Swamy had to say:
The South Asian countries, especially India, Pakistan and Afghanistan will see a lot of political instability in the coming months.

The sun will change its position after October 15; the Shani Peyarchi period commences from this day. This is, by and large, a make-or-break period as a result of which there would be hectic political activity and a rise in militancy in South Asian countries.

As far as the future of India is concerned, there would be plenty of political instability; the government will just about manage to scrape through 2007. However, when Ketu reaches Cancer, the troubles of the government will increase and, after a lot of altercation, this government will be brought down in late 2008.

Between November and December, the country could witness a bloody incident in which at least 200 lives will be lost. This would be largely due to the change in scenario in countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Musharraf's proximity to the US will make the Taliban in Afghanistan stronger, with a large faction in Pakistan being responsible for this. India's proximity towards the US will earn the wrath of the Muslim nations and this will increase attacks on India.

Although Musharraf will hold on to power in Pakistan, he would face rebellion and discord within his country.

The governments in all the three countries will pull through for the time being, but relations between the countries will deteriorate in the coming days. With Saturn entering Simha and Ketu in the later part of the year, troubles for South Asia will increase and Musharraf will be assassinated. This will lead to a lot of instability in the South Asia and the situation will remain tense.

However, the nature of the trouble that will befall these countries cannot be spelt out.
Narayan Swamy spoke to Vicky Nanjappa.

'No Gandhi will lead the country' - Guruswamy Nagendra Rao
Guruswamy Nagendra Rao, who is also based in Bangalore, made the following predictions:

The months of November and December are months of trouble for the South Asian countries. Political instability and a reign of terror especially in Afghanistan will throw the whole of South Asia into chaos.

The sun which moves into the same position as it was 30 years ago bringing along with it despair and instability. Not only will there be instability in the government, but the pattern of life among the people will also change.

The Shani Peyarchi period will result in a lot of changes. Normally, there is a calm before a bloody period, which may begin at the end of October and last till the end of 2008.

In India, there will be political instability. The Congress will return to power, but there will be confusion over their next leader. The stars foretell that none from the Gandhi clan will lead the country in the future.

The effects of the political scenario will have a lot of bearing on countries like Afghanistan and Bangladesh, the brunt of which India will have to bear. The growing proximity between India and the US will spell more trouble, than good, for the country.

The trouble in Pakistan will end with Musharraf's assassination. Prior to this, there will be several bids on his life thanks to the growing discord among his countrymen. The Musharraf end will happen between late 2008 and early 2009, during the Ketu-Bhakti period. The fall of

Musharraf's regime will restore peace for some time in Pakistan and, subsequently, Afghanistan.

Shani's transit will have a long lasting effect not only on the political scenario of south Asia, but also on the economy. The growing instability will hit foreign ties. Even the markets will be affected, as a result of which there will be a steep rise in the prices of various essential commodities.

'The share market will crash' 'Nambungal' Narayanan

Nambungal' Narayanan, the renowned Chennai-based astrologer and numerologist who had predicted many major disasters in the past says that the planetary changes that took place in August 2007 is going to have a negative impact on the entire world:

Though many people brush it aside, the movement of the nine planets and 12 constellations are responsible for the good and the bad that are taking place in the world.

In August 2007, planet Sun, the ruler of Leo, and planet Saturn with 34 satellites, Neptune with 13 satellites, Mercury and Venus were in conjunction in the Leo constellation. Because of the conjunction, there will be havoc in the world. The conjunction will have a vital effect on the earth.

In the past too, major events have occurred due to such a conjunction. In December 1662, a similar super conjunction of planets took place and more than four lakh people died in London due to bubonic plague.

On April 2, 1821, the same super conjunction took place, cholera struck the world and the people of Asia, Europe and Africa were affected. On 26 January, 1900, the whole of India was shattered due to severe earth quake. In 1908, four planets assembled in Cancer, and, due to the conjunction, a massive earth quake took place in Italy. In September 1920, the five planets were in conjunction in Leo, and more than a lakh people died in an earthquake in China.

As recently as 1989, about 50,000 people lost their houses in northern China due to an earthquake for three consecutive days. On October 20, 1991, a powerful earth quake shook north India.

As per the conjunction that happened in August 2007, there will be severe earthquakes in the eastern parts of the global continent -- especially in India, China, Jakarta, Japan, Tibetan plateau, Ivory Coast of South Africa, etc. The Himalayan region will be affected by earthquakes. One of the islands of the east coast or the west coast will be eroded by the sea. Loss of a lot of life is possible.

There will be terrorist attacks in the US, especially in airports, in the Middle East countries and also in India.

The entire south East Asia, and India in particular, will face political instability. The share market in India will definitely crash. Real estate prices will fall. There will be political uncertainty at the centre and in many states in India. People will suffer.

The chances of the Congress coming back to power again are very remote. According to my calculations, L K Advani is likely to lead the country.

The bad effects of the celestial conjunction that occurred in August 2007 will continue.

Good times ahead for India - Sanjay B Jumaani

When Mumbai's glittering stars want a dose of luck, the turn to numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani. He tells them how to spell their names, or how to spell the names of the movies, or television serials, so as to entice good luck.

Here's what he had to say about India's future:

India adds up to number 3 in numerology, while Bharat adds upto number 6. Three, 6 and 9 form one family of numbers. This means, it's good times ahead for India.

Let me explain: 2007, the year in question, adds up to number 9, which represents the planet Mars. And the current Libran period is governed by Venus, which is number 6. This is why many of the people who are ruled by the numbers 3, 6 and 9 are doing very well.
India too is seeing good times. For example, the Sensex crossed 18,000 on the 9th (October 9). If you add the numbers in 18000 (1 + 8), you get number 9. On the 24th (September 24), we won the coveted 20Twenty World Cup. The compound that day was also 6 (24 + 9 + 2007 = 6 (2 + 4) + 9 + 9 = 24 = 6 (2 + 4)). 20Twenty adds to no 27=9. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who captained the side, is also a compound of 6 (7 + 7 + 1982 = 7 + 7 + 20 (1 + 9 + 8 + 2) = 24 = 6 (2 + 4)).

The man of the match, Irfan Pathan is a number 9 -- his birthday is on October 27 -- was wearing jersey number 63 (=9) as suggested by me.

The final catch was taken by Sreesanth, who is a Scorpio ruled by Mars which is a number 9. He was wearing jersey number 36 (=9), which was also suggested by us.
Yuvraj, who is a number 3 -- his birthday is on December 12 -- thundered away 6 sixes to enter record books and win Rs 1 crore. He was wearing jersey number 12 (=3).

We last won the cup in 1983 (which is a number 3 -- 21 (1 + 9 + 8 + 3) = 3 (2 + 1)). The captain then was Kapil Dev, who is a number 6 -- his birthday is on January 6.
Mukesh Ambani, an Aerian ruled by Mars, recently became the fifth richest man in the world. Shah Rukh Khan, a Scorpio also ruled by Mars, enjoyed Chak De! India's stupendous success. Akshay Kumar, who is a number 9 -- his birthday is on September 9 -- is also seeing a very successful run.

The reason I am elaborating all this is to show how who belong to the 3, 6 and 9 family of numbers are doing well this year. So, if anything, this should be a good year for India because India is a number 3 and Bharat is a number 6.

Sonia Gandhi, who is a number 9, should be able to surmount the opposition she is facing courageously.

Asia adds up to number 6 and should, numerologically speaking, also benefit this year.

The future of India is very bright - Ajay Bhambi

Delhi-based astrologer Ajay Bhambi, who has been making predictions for various television and print organisations, says Shani plays a vital role in guiding the destiny of nations and the destiny of an individual over a period of time:

The future of India is very bright. The five planets -- Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Venus and Moon -- are in a good position for India as a nation. We will see the youth of India awaken.

No matter what is the level of opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal, it will go through. There is no point talking about an awakened spirit when we have no light in our houses. Ten years from now, the people of India will realise what the present government has attained. The Left will be a loser.

In Pakistan, President Musharraf will be comfortably placed in days to come.
Ajay Bhambri spoke to Onkar Singh.
