Why Ram Setu should not be destroyed ?

1. It has religious importance of Majority of the people in Bharat.

2. Currently the water between Bharat and Srilanka belong to only these two countries, Once Setu is destroyed, these water become international waters. Any one can enter through this water. It is the big concern due to security reasons.

3. Bharat is trying for nuclear deal with US in which there are many questions not answered and not acceptable by majority people. We have Thorium reserves in Rameswaram around Ram Setu which we can use for 400 years to generate power and for nuclear purposes to fulfill needs of Bharat, 30% of World Thorium reserves are available from here only. If Setu is destroyed, all Thorium reserves will be dipped in Hindu Ocean which we can not use.

4. Lacks of fisher men are depending and they will be unemployed. There are so many educated un-employees right now in the country, Govt. is not in the position to show fisher men alternative employement opportunities. This is again big question for the future of lacks of fisher men.

5. Sri Lanka is also not supporting this project since they may loose their drinking water reserves due to this in their border region.

Do you still think it is necessary to destroy Ram Setu not considering these many important things. Let us start thinking on this
